We decided to check out some emeralds for our collection this year. We compared Columbian and Zambian emeralds and found that generally Columbian emeralds have a nicer shade of green as compared to Zambian emeralds. And those Columbian emeralds that are graded “insignificant” with a good shade of “vivid green”, look absolutely fantastic, but are also more expensive. We got a few and we are going to set them into beautiful rings. Here’s one. A 1.98ct Columbian emerald, “minor”, emerald cut.
